WELCOME TO BON APPÉTIT CATERING

Whether you are planning a departmental continental breakfast, a tasty boxed lunch offering, or an elegant banquet, Bon Appétit’s seasoned team of professional caterers is here to bring your vision to reality. With 30 years of event planning and hospitality experience, we delight in attending to the details of your event — whether it’s big or small. Our talented culinary team has created an array of locally sourced and seasonally inspired catering options sure to meet your every taste and dietary need. As is the case with all of the food we cook at St. Olaf, our catered offerings are full of flavor and made from scratch with only the freshest of ingredients.

It is our goal to create an exceptional experience for you and your guests – one that will have them asking for more.

This menu has been created with great care and creativity. Included in these pages, you will find offerings sure to meet the wants and needs of most every palate. Should your event require something more customized, our team of culinarians will do all we can to accommodate such needs. PLACING AN ORDER

The easiest way to place your order is to send a request with basic details to us via the following link:

Please make sure your location is reserved prior to placing your order. Once submitted properly, you will receive an emailed notification confirming receipt. Any questions or details not addressable in our online form can be sent to: catering@stolaf.edu . Once received and processed, a banquet event order/contract will be generated and sent to you for your review. Please review to ensure accuracy of details.

ORDERING DEADLINES

We ask that all catering requests be placed at least 10 business days prior to your event.

Custom menu requests require at least 14 business days prior to event. We will do our best to accommodate short notice catering requests but cannot guarantee the availability of services or product. Last minute requests may be subject to additional charges and/or limited menu offerings. Also, customer pick up may be required.

EVENT CONFIRMATION, GUARANTEES AND CANCELLATIONS

Final guest count guarantees must be received at least 5 business days prior to the event. Billing of all food, equipment rental, taxes, and service charges will be based on the guaranteed or the accrued number of guests served, whichever is greater.

All cancellations should be made no later than 5 business days prior to the scheduled event. A minimum of 50% service charge will be assessed if an event is cancelled with less than a 5 business day notice.

Cancellations less than 24 hours will be responsible for 100% of the total invoice.

UNUSED FOOD AND BEVERAGE

Due to public health and food safety concerns, all food and beverages are to be consumed on the premises during the scheduled event. Food and beverages not consumed during the event remain the property of Bon Appétit. Bon Appétit does not offer ‘to go’ boxes for any catered event and items are not to be personally packaged for removal from the event space.

THE FINE PRINT

SERVICE OPTIONS

Drop Off Catering Drop off service is the default option for all catering orders. This service level includes all disposable service ware. Non-disposable wares (china, flatware, linen, etc.) are available – upon request – for additional charges. Dedicated catering attendants are available at a rate of $30/hour with a four(4 hour minimum.)

Pick Up Service

Pick up service is our most economical catering option. Order minimums, delivery, and service charges are not assessed to pick up orders. Items will be packaged and available for pick up in Buntrock.

MINIMUM ORDER AND DELIVERY FEE

A $100.00 minimum order per delivery is applied to any on campus, non-pick-up catering order. The minimum order for all off campus catering requests is $1,000.00. Orders placed for delivery outside of Buntrock Commons will incur a delivery charge of $40.00 or 15% service charge whichever is greater.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Upon confirmation of your event, you will receive a copy of the event order listing all estimated
charges. You will be responsible to review the event order and to confirm the details listed; event
timeline, menu, quantities, budget number, ect. It is necessary that a signed contract be delivered to the Bon Appétit Catering Office for all college related events exceeding $500.00 Final event billing is based on final attendance and any additions. Additional charges may be necessary for any additional rental items and/or labor over our usual staffing levels.

EVENT STAFF | LABOR CHARGES

Service staff $30.00 per hour, 4 hour minimum may apply Bartender $45.00 per hour, 4 hour minimum, includes 1 hour of each set up and tear down Chef/Carver $100.00 per hour, 3 hour minimum.

LINEN

Bon Appétit will provide linen for all Bon Appétit food & beverage tables. For any guest tables,& or all other tables linen is not included and can be rented Black or white round 90x90 $7 each
Black or white rectangle 52x114 guest will pay full purchase price.

 

KNOW WHAT YOU ARE EATING

↓G | MADE WITHOUT GLUTEN-CONTAINING INGREDIENTS

Made without gluten-containing ingredients. Please speak with a manager to learn how these items are prepared in our open kitchens that also handle gluten for other menu items.

VG | VEGAN

Contains absolutely no animal or dairy products.

V | VEGETARIAN

Contains no meat, fish, poultry, shellfish or products derived from other sources but may contain dairy or eggs.

FF | FARM TO FORK

Contains seasonal, minimally processed ingredients from a local farm, ranch, or fishing boat.

S | SEAFOOD WATCH

Contains seafood that meets the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch guidelines for commercial buyers.

H | HUMANE

Contains humanely raised meat, poultry, or eggs. Must be certified by a credible third-party animal welfare organization.

LC | LOCALLY CRAFTED

Contains products crafted by a small, locally owned food business using socially and/or environmentally responsible practices.

O | ORGANIC

Contains at least 95 percent organically produced ingredients (by weight) from a USDA certified source.
